FINDING YOUR INNER GARGOYLE

LIVE THEATRICAL CIRCUS INSTALLATION & PERFORMANCE

Devised and directed by Paul Liengaard of ndpcircus FYIG is a 60 minute live theatrical circus installation and performance that took place on and around St Mary’s Church on Saturday 20th August at 8.30pm.

FYIG uses aerial, physical theatre, dance and music to tell a story about gargoyles, corporate greed and humanity. The gargoyles and 'screenheads' use multimedia and bespoke aerial equipment to tell their stories.

Delving deep into the very nature of the wood and stone they are carved from, FYIG explores this world of demons and fantasy and transforms it into a theatrical celebration, somewhere beyond humanity. Using sites of architectural and historical significance as set and backdrop, FYIG transports you to a dark world of fire, fury and fantastical creatures.

FYIG is available now for bookings and collaborations, we have extensive experience working on site-specific projects and integrate a deep level of community engagement into our work so that the local community can take part and feel part of the project and performance.
